This Privacy Policy explains how Meta Sport Hub ("we", "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the app you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account or sign in, we receive an account identifier and email address (via email/password, Sign in with Apple, or Google). With Sign in with Apple you may use a private relay email. We also store the display name and avatar you choose.
Content you create. Group chat messages, groups you create or join, friends, the teams and players you follow, and any reports or blocks you submit. Personal preferences such as remarks/nicknames and pinned or hidden chats are stored on your device.
Camera. Used only when you scan a friend's QR code to add a contact. Images are not stored.
Microphone. Used only when you choose to record and send a voice message.
Technical data. Basic device and diagnostic information, and a push notification token if you enable notifications.
How we use your information
To provide and operate the app: sync your account, show scores and content, and deliver messages and notifications.
For safety and moderation: to handle reports and blocks and keep the community safe.
To improve reliability and performance.
Third-party services
We use the following providers to operate the app. Your data is processed by them only as needed to provide the service:
Supabase — authentication, database and storage (your account and content).
Sports data providers — live scores, fixtures, statistics, news and highlights.
AI assistant provider — when you use the AI football assistant, your questions are sent to an AI service to generate a response.
Sign in with Apple / Google — used for sign-in if you choose them.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Content you post in a group chat is visible to other members of that group. We may disclose information if required by law.
Data retention & deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → account settings). Deleting your account removes your account and associated data from our systems. Locally stored preferences are removed when you delete the app.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Children
Meta Sport Hub is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
